Great Smoky Mountains National Park is the most visited national park in America. Its mountain vistas, rivers and streams, waterfalls, hiking trails, wildlife, floral and fauna, and historic buildings draw millions of people annually to its peaceful environment. The Great Smoky Mountains is situated in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. It's over 500,000 acres offers sightseeing for over 10 million visitors annually. The park is accessible from several different villages, including gatlinburg, wears valley, townsend, newport, and cosby on the Tennessee side and from cherokee nc on the north carolina side. Great Smoky Mountains National Park provides ways to unwind from the cares of daily life -- flowing mountain streams, mountain vistas, breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, wildlife viewing, and picnic areas.
